I don't tend to upload iPhone pictures to my blog since I like to keep it as a separate space for my "pro" pictures. This time I'm making an exception just because I want to share the story behind this image.
I was on my way back home, as usual lost in my twitter streams and instagram feeds. I saw this guy sitting in front of me, at first glance he didn't catch my attention. He just seemed like the average dude.
It wasn't until I noticed that he was wearing a pink backpack that I shook my head and paid attention to what was going on in front of me. I saw the little girl on his lap playing with the basket ball and just how focused he was on his daughter.
When I stepped out of the bus, I saw him walk away holding his little girl's hand and carrying a tini-tiny Dora the explorer backpack and I said to myself: "Damn that is real man!"
Countless times I've heard guys say: "Oh that pink shirt makes me look gay". It was refreshing to see a guy more concerned about being a good dad than having to wear a pink backpack.
A lesson for all the gentlemen suffering from colourphobia out there: Being a man is more than the colour you wear.
